At the City of Tampa Fire & Police Pension Board meeting , today , the first item of lengthy discussion was about the billing of Attorney Gonyea bring turned in for the months of August, September, October, and November 2012, LAST YEAR . This is the same attorney who received a Plaque from then Chairman PJ Gray , but Chairman Gray could not give a Plaque to past Attorney Cohen because Attorney Cohen had not cashed his last check. Remember the lengthy discussion on this subject at a previous Board meeting? Would this be considered Double Standards ?
October Board meeting was changed to October 30, 2013 to avoid conflict of a Pension Conference in Orlando.
The Trustees questioned if it would be necessary to hire a Temporary employee till a Plan Administrator is hired , as there are now 4 doing the work that 5 did previously. It was stated that it was not necessary at this time. Chairman Griener said that the office staff is doing a good job of keeping the office running smoothly.
This will save our fund considerable money .
Chairman Griener is doing a good job of handling the needs of the Fund , as well as conducting a good meeting!
In my opinion, Pension business, between Staff & Retirees, has become very Ameliorated since August 5, 2013. Maybe the Atmospheric Electricity has gone back down to Kilowatt usage from the High Voltage Stage. Don't need any one else to get zapped., UNLESS it is necessary.
