Hearing a call Lani froze in her tracks twisting her head toward its direction. The breeze blowing at her gave her no indication of what she was facing until his approach brought him upon her. His gait was even and with a long stride that brought him quickly into her space. She blinked and it seemed he was at her flank in moments.
The wind seemed to sink deeper into her flesh cutting as if it were a blade in sand. The stallions scent filled her nostrils and his warmth beckoned her closer to him. At his request to fallow him she led some hesitation but knew well it would be foolish to resist the offer. His warmth carried her limbs closer fallowing him blindly into the unknown.
“Wh-Who are you?” She asked her teeth clattering together. She did he best to keep his stride the cold setting in deeper and deeper into the bone making her limbs lack the momentum to carry her forward like the light footed girl she use to be. The longing for the sun made her feel as though her heart would freeze over.
She hardly caught a good view of his face but she noticed deep brown eyes. His markings where delightfully bold a lovely liver chestnut tobaino color settled on his body. He seemed we built and bold, he must be the lands owner he seemed a strong enough leader perhaps he was a kind one as well… “I-Is this your land or partially yours or…” She silenced herself forcing her limbs forward lingering close on his flank not daring to leave his side.
She studied the land as they pushed their way deeper into the forest. The wind died down as the trees sheltered them more but the cold had already dealt some hindrances she slowed half a pace taking in everything she could. She wanted to speak but did not dare her muzzle occasionally tapped against his barrel as she gave him an apologetic glance. “My name is Lani by the way.” She said softly a light cough escaping her lungs.
