they won't know you now
Dimitri watches the man evenly. The creature wasn’t really going to make much of a fuss with the stranger that had appeared. He was a gentle creature, on the surface. It was an interesting surface, placid and quiet. They could all be quiet on the surface, deceivingly so. Everything was deceivingly so when you’d just met, or so Dimitri thought. He rarely remembered being real with someone that had just appeared, though he was far more relaxed with this man with the bi-colored gaze. It seemed that he was trying to be… big. Bigger, but Dimitri wasn’t having any of it. He wouldn’t be afraid.
“Yeah, and what four letter words are you in it for?” The creature watches the man, listing closer ever so slightly. It’s something that he can’t help, shivering against the winter cold. It seemed to cut through his thin coat, freezing him ever so slowly to the bone. Another creature, a warm creature, a warm body would be nice. His tail swished lowly, curiously with his silky coat swishing around. He’s simply shifting closer, watching… watching softly. Dimitri isn’t so unnerved by the creature, not as much as he should have been. He should have been… and he’s not.
Stupid little rules. He smirks lowly, chancing setting his face nearer to the man. A flicker of the tail, a lift of a lip—a smile. They were to his advantage, those shining teeth and glinting smile. “Society is bullshit.” And that’s all he has to say, Technicolor eyes glimmering. He wants to reach out and nose the man, but… he’s shy. He’s playing shy for the moment, yet… he doesn’t realize he’s trying to flirt. He doesn’t notice it any more, that ill-fated quality he takes on. He always takes on that ill-fated quality, welcoming Dimitri to his everyday life.
