aurora borealis- noun plural: An aurora that occurs in northern regions of the earth. Also called northern lights.

In the middle of a dense forest of coniferous trees lies the Aurora Borealis pack, its name coming from its location. At certain times of the year, the northern lights appear, dancing almost magically in the sky. A narrow trail leads you through the close evergreens. Giving into temptation, you begin moving your paws. By venturing into this territory, you are venturing into a land belonging to a pair of feared leaders. You have heard rumors of them...but you decide to take your chances and hope that the tales of blood and death are merely fabricated stories to scare wolves.

You have walked nearly five minutes before you realize the sound of paws stepping somewhere from behind. Deciding that you've made a mistake, you quickly turn around, but find that you cannot go any further. Standing before you is one of the mighty kings you've heard of. His blood red pelt clings over perfectly toned bands of muscle. But that isn't what causes such fear in your veins. One of his amber eyes has a horrid, bleeding scar across it, and his good eye seems to stare right through you. His face is expressionless, giving off none of his intentions. You cower away as his jaws part.

"I'm Hell Demon."

His voice was deep and cut through the air like a hot knife through butter. Right where he left off, another voice picks up from behind you. You whirl around and find yourself facing another male with steely muscles beneath his pelt, which seems to consist of every shade of brown. He had startled you, and you're amazed how you hadn't at all detected his approach.

"And I am Ghost...we're the alphas of Aurora Borealis."

His deep voice was laced thickly with a Native American accent. His own golden eyes are directing a harsh glare your way. Now you're caught in the middle...your breathing has become heavy in your panic and you're not sure which to face.

"You've foolishly trespassed into our territory. You face the one called Hell Demon's whose voice is once more addressing you. Get out, or become a corpse along our border."

It's obvious they mean business. So now it's up to you...take your chances and stay, or heed their warning and waste no time getting out with your life.

Trying to Forget the Past, This Was Never Meant to Last

Adrenaline was pumping through the fae’s veins as she ran towards the scent of the unknown lupine that had rudely entered the territory. She snarled at the stranger, demanding to know why she felt that she had the right to come in uninvited, while waiting for Kalgalath to arrive. Chenzii had no doubt that he would be here very soon, he was always good about being wherever he needed to be. Before the strange ivory femme could respond yet another trespasser had made their way into Aurora Borealis’ lands. He had a strong scent to him, clearly of a pack, but Chenzii did not know which pack. She now wished she had done more exploring of the forest instead of sticking to her pack, she would make sure to learn of the other packs in the future, once she had dealt with these two. Smelling the scent of another pack made Chenzii angrier. If these wolves had come from a pack then they know the rules about crossing borders and could not plead ignorant to knowing the rule.

A large crimson and black brute runs to the femme’s side before stepping in front of her, putting a barrier between the white ess and Chenzii. His ears are flat and a snarl is on his face, mimicking Chenzii’s aggressive stance. She was not about to back down though just because another wolf had made his way here, this was still her home and she would do everything to defend it. A strong growl rose from her throat as her fur bristled, showing she was not afraid of him. The brute had the audacity to speak before Chenzii had a chance to confront him as well, "You treat all your guests like this? I guess your alpha never taught you manners. Leave her alone." The insult to Kal and herself really angered Chenzii. She was not in the fault, it was him. If they had come to the border instead of ignoring it and coming in, then they would have seen a very different and much nicer side of her, but that was not the case. The brute curled his tail over his spine, as if he was somehow above Chenzii. She snapped back at him, her jaws snapping powerfully as she spat out her next words, “You are no guests here. I treat wolves how they should be treated, neither of you deserve manners. Now I would suggest you guys run off before Kalgalath arrives, he will not be as kind as I.” She took an aggressive step forward, wanting the two to know she was not going to wait around anymore.

Suddenly Kalgalath ran out from the trees, charging right up to the other brute, hackles raised and a growl rumbling from his throat. Chenzii was glad he had arrived, she was confident in her fighting abilities, but did not think she had a good chance against two lupines. She did not show her relief though, her eyes not leaving the two strangers, keeping her guard up. He looked at her and she understood what he was saying, to be cautious of the trespassing brute. She nodded, instantly obedient to him as she backed up, not leaving of course, just putting some more distance between herself and crimson and black brute. Kalgalath glared with his icy portals at the brute, as he roared his anger at him, "You dare to cross MY boundaries and then spew warnings at MY pack!? You hold no power here, prince of Malignant Felicity, and are unwelcome I suggest you tuck your tail and remove your paws from the earth of my lands before I rip your throat out and drag your lifeless body back to your mother!" So Malignant Felicity was the pack that this brute was from, and a prince as well. Chenzii could not believe that a wolf of such stature would dare to cross Kalgalath so rudely. Chenzii hoped never to enrage Kalgalath the way he was now; she could not imagine that rage being directed at her as she even felt some fear from his aggression. The femme’s face didn’t flinch at all though, she did not want to show any weakness and kept her aggressive attitude.

Chenzii waited to see how the prince would react to the alpha’s outburst, ready to aid Kal in anyway, especially if violence were to begin. Kalgalath let out a howl, alerting the rest of the pack to what was going on so others could join them and back Kal up. Next he addressed the female that was behind the brute, his words confusing Chenzii, "Kohaku, come to my side. She is mine, and is no longer any of your concern." The black ess had no idea how Kalgalath knew the femme known as Kohaku, but she trusted her alpha and stayed silent. Worried that his words would result in a fight, and she waited to see what would happen.
