aurora borealis- noun plural: An aurora that occurs in northern regions of the earth. Also called northern lights.

In the middle of a dense forest of coniferous trees lies the Aurora Borealis pack, its name coming from its location. At certain times of the year, the northern lights appear, dancing almost magically in the sky. A narrow trail leads you through the close evergreens. Giving into temptation, you begin moving your paws. By venturing into this territory, you are venturing into a land belonging to a pair of feared leaders. You have heard rumors of them...but you decide to take your chances and hope that the tales of blood and death are merely fabricated stories to scare wolves.

You have walked nearly five minutes before you realize the sound of paws stepping somewhere from behind. Deciding that you've made a mistake, you quickly turn around, but find that you cannot go any further. Standing before you is one of the mighty kings you've heard of. His blood red pelt clings over perfectly toned bands of muscle. But that isn't what causes such fear in your veins. One of his amber eyes has a horrid, bleeding scar across it, and his good eye seems to stare right through you. His face is expressionless, giving off none of his intentions. You cower away as his jaws part.

"I'm Hell Demon."

His voice was deep and cut through the air like a hot knife through butter. Right where he left off, another voice picks up from behind you. You whirl around and find yourself facing another male with steely muscles beneath his pelt, which seems to consist of every shade of brown. He had startled you, and you're amazed how you hadn't at all detected his approach.

"And I am Ghost...we're the alphas of Aurora Borealis."

His deep voice was laced thickly with a Native American accent. His own golden eyes are directing a harsh glare your way. Now you're caught in the middle...your breathing has become heavy in your panic and you're not sure which to face.

"You've foolishly trespassed into our territory. You face the one called Hell Demon's whose voice is once more addressing you. Get out, or become a corpse along our border."

It's obvious they mean business. So now it's up to you...take your chances and stay, or heed their warning and waste no time getting out with your life.

Kohaku need not wait long for someone to come running to her side. Though it was not in a friendly gesture. The black miss that erupted from her hiding spot in the undergrowth had her hackles raised, her eyes narrowed and a chilling look rustling around in her nape. Surely this woman was a member of Aurora Borealis... she held her tassel as one should-- Kohaku, never good with the same gender as herself, stopped moving and stayed still, not daring to look the bitch in the eye. Why have you entered these lands alone? State your business now before you get yourself hurt here. Hurt? There was nothing that this lady could do that would hurt the white miss any more than she had already been. This lass... she would be a pack member that Koh would have to get along with every day if Kalgalath stayed true to his word and accepted her as he had promised to... Kohaku was fearful that after all this time, perhaps he had forgotten.... snake-like optics shook uncontrollably, and she hunched her shoulders against the cold autumn gales that were just starting to pick up. Kohaku, as wise as she was, stayed still and made sure to make no move that would give any idea that she was going to jump the other woman... that, after all, was not her intent, and frankly, she didn't appreciate that that was what the girl had in her mind. Did Kalgalath really not tell them..? She parted he maw, revealing ivory daggers, and raised her tongue so as to form words... but her words were reduced to nothing when a sudden flash erupted in front of her. She stepped back, sensing the presence before it was even there, though she did not know who it was until after her portals focused in on the frame.

Those colors... only one wolf would be able to boast such royal bloodlines... and suddenly, the clock that she had worked so hard to put time on... to put distance between... clicked.

00:00:00:00

His lips were curled. His tassel was over his black spine... and those cerulean optical units... narrowed into slits by anger. Kohaku couldn't breathe. Not even an hour after she had brought herself back to Blossom to join Kalgalath's pack... had Nikandros found her. He had fucking found her. As if she were a flame and he were a match... he had caught on so quickly to her fire, weak as it was. Had he followed her? Her body was rigid. Her muscles tense and her jaw bulged as her scissors grinded against one another. The whole way? You treat all your guests like this? I guess your alpha never taught you manners. Leave her alone. Words had no meaning in Kohaku's audettes at this point in time. She couldn't understand them. It was just him and only him. The background... the foliage... blanked into just white, and he was all that was there. Tears swelled to the woman's portals. She couldn't help it. She watned to see him, to feel him... to bury herself in that scent of his... but there was nothing that she could do about it because there was another part of her that detested him. Hated him so fiercly that bile could be sensed at the back of her throat. You are no guests here. I treat wolves how they should be treated, neither of you deserve manners. Now I would suggest you guys run off before Kalgalath arrives, he will not be as kind as I. Her words meant nothing to Kohaku's deaf ears.

But another entity was to join the threesome-- and this was Kalgalath. This was the male whom Kohaku had met in the woods, bonded with, and the same one she had spilled her whole entire story to because she felt that he understood her. He had a heart... and it was unlike any other one that Koh had ever sensed-- perhaps she felt that he was the father figure she had never had. The father figure she SHOULD have had. And that was why she had practically begged him to become her mentor. And here he was, as he promised, approaching them. But Kohaku was still stupified by the sight of that totally and utterly..."foolish... i-idiot!" She hissed, dropping her gaze to the ground.

It was moments later that Kal's own voice erupted loudly... like that of a God. You dare cross MY boundaries and then spew warnings at MY pack!? You hold no power here, prince of Malignant Felicity, and are unwelcome. I suggest you tuck your tail and remove your paws from the earth of my lands before I rip your throat out and drag your lifeless body back to your mother! Well that was a threat if Kohaku had ever heard one. Her amber portals met with Kalgalath's and pain seared through her. She was still drawn to this beast that had separated her from the ebony varg that had approached her first. Kohaku took in every bit of him once again. He was like a ghost to her... and this was like seeing the dead. Kohaku, come to my side. At the sound of her name, Kohaku looked back to Kalgalath and she met his gaze as he tried to usher her towards him with just his words. Foolish man-- words would not drag her away this time. It would be force. Even if she so WANTED to be separated from this divine soldier... this demi-god that came to her rescue almost every time though she did not ask for it... She forced a paw forward, aiming to push herself around Nikandros... push herself past him. She is mine, and is no longer any of your concern. But those were the words that stopped her. It was true. Kohaku had pledged herself to Kalgalath. Her power, her strength, her everything belonged to him... but there was one important part of her that didn't. And that was her heart. The same one that Nikandros metaphorically held within his mouth, his canine's crunching down into it, spilling her blood everywhere. She ached for him. So Kohaku, torn as she was, leaned towards Kalgalath, aiming to move closer to him, to rid herself-- but she couldn't. Her legs wouldn't allow her. Her viewfinders looked to Nikandros for a brief moment in time. And at that moment, she knew that she was doomed entirely. There was no rising above the black waves. Her head tore away from him and back to Kalgalath. Pain seared her gaze, and her body shook.

Stupid prince. If he had never been born... maybe if SHE had never been born, neither of them would be in this situation. Especially Kohaku. If she had not followed her father into Malignant and gotten herself involved with the stranger at the coyote hunt; she would be a valkyrie from the heavens. An arch-angel with a dangerous and lethal power. She wanted to be free. And if Kalgalath couldn't read her, she would never know who could. Even though she leaned away from him, it was clear that he acted as her magnet. He was a planet and she was his moon. That gravity pulled her in closer and closer... and when she opened her portals one more time, she found that she had crept closer to that demon. The spawn of the devil... and everyone knows that it is most often the female angels that fall for Satan's son... Kohaku was, apparently, no exception. One word escaped her jug this time. It was directed to anyone who would listen. The first who would reach her.

"Help."
