 Sylvia heard another coming just before she heard a female voice ask who she was in a demanding tone. Barely lifting her mouth from the stream she could feel droplets drip from the bottom of her chin as it quivered. Flicking one ear backwards Sylvia’s bright sapphire eyes looked onto the equally pale banshee who had her neck stretched out as she sniffed the air surrounding them as though she was more curious on who Sylvia was rather than trying to show authority. She thought about not responding at all and just wait for the girl to lose interest in her but Sylvia was raised and believed better. Coming to this conclusion Sylvia raised her head the rest of the way and breathed out heavy ”my name is Sylvia” With her other ear rest back on her chilled forelock and mane the prudent mare could hear the gentle trickle of the stream beside her. The nameless woman stood confident almost as though she was a solider and Sylvia was invading her land. That or she like Sylvia assumed there was no one else around and was just simply surprised that she had run into not only a living creature but a fellow equine at that. ”what can I call you? Sylvia isn’t sure if she was all that much older than this girl but she sure felt like it. Sylvia wasn’t sure where this conversation would lead and or if this warrior princess would ask her to leave or tell her to follow her to a stallion who may have claimed the icy lithosphere but whatever happened Sylvia wasn’t too worried. Either way she’d leave if she wasn’t supposed to be here. Standing their silently Sylvia waited for the banshee to respond but felt the thirst poke at her mouth and it wasn’t long before she lowered her head back to the stream and begin again to drink from it in long deep gulps. she was so thirsty Only death and love change all things
