Who was Vercingetorix to turn away a wandering woman that also happened to carry in her belly one of his own kin- his flesh and blood? Even when he had been faced with bitter, vile, and angry women, he had found himself softened by their pregnancies, accepting that children were products of their parents. To think, perhaps he would have become a completely different man had he been raised at the bloody hands of his father. The thought was revolting, terrifying, and perhaps it was enough to clear the red stallions mind.

Certainly, he would never turn someone away from the forest if they came to him seeking help- yet he would run them out if they brought any sort of danger into his home.

Sniffing the air carefully around them, Vercingetorix surmises that Quicksilver had not had any ill run-ins with the more angry specimens of his gender, and that she had returned only at the urging of her swelling belly. Though she sounds disappointed at the outcome of her adventures, the red stallion finds himself somewhat relieved that she had managed to return and had not found her end in the world beyond the forest. “Sometimes we're better off without too much adventure.” He had his fair share. He had seen the exotic amazons of some far away place, and he had roamed distant deserts and seen strange horses with crooked necks and large humps on their backs. Vercingetorix knows better than to wander off in search of adventure.

“You are more than welcome to stay here, Quicksilver.” He replies, certain that soon enough he would see the result of their passion frolicking through the trees and enjoying the sunlight as summer would soon be upon them.
