From the day I knew I was scared to death...
But I knew that I loved you,
I could already imagine
All the things that we would do.
I wondered if I could do you justice,
& give you what you deserved.
But I was going to try my best,
For all that I was worth.
When I felt you move,
I was filled with so much joy.
I had no idea that you,
Where going to be my little boy.
But things changed so fast,
I saw you sooner than we planned.
I remember how you felt,
When you gently gripped my hand.
Our time together was short,
But I cherished every moment.
Your small loving body,
Held all of my focus.
Then all too soon your time here had ended,
I wept with grief
& felt so weak,
This is not what I intended.
I wish I could change what happened,
I miss you all too much.
You bring me so much love
More than I could ever have imagined.
I love you my little Redtail
& I know that you’re at peace
But my heart still weeps for all my life
Until again we finally meet.
