I believe you are right,Weather!I hadn't heard anything about the shooting in Michigan,but it is what I have feared all along if it were known for sure that M.L.'s were here - some jerk would want to feel like a big man by killing one to have a trophy of how big,bad and brave he was. Do you have details on who/why/how the killing came about? Did they claim to be in danger/it was killing livestock or some such thing?
