Life is nothing but a Game Posted on December 30, 2013 at 03:42:47 AM by Fundamental
Fundamental follows along, not making a fuss as the mare makes him leave the shore behind. His mind is still filled with chaotic thoughts making it hard to focus or think upon one thing. Everything is still so blurry, so hard to read the stallion probably couldn’t have told the mare no if he wanted too. But as she cleans away the water he begins to relax and lower his head, eyes closing as his body continues to tremble and water drip from his flared nares. Soon enough the water would be gone from his lungs but for now each inhale gives a slight gurgle, an irregular sound that brings discomfort and causes the chestnut painted man to cough several times unexpectedly.
After time passes and Fundamental begins to recover, he opens his eyes and looks up at her beautiful face. Mercedes she had called herself earlier, it was such a pretty name. One he had not expected yet somehow was fitting. He gives her a soft smile as he studies her a moment before looking away, feeling embarrassed now that he wasn’t so numb with cold and shock. “May I call you Mercy? It seems that is what I am right now to you, needing your mercy.” He says, his voice rough from the salt that had caused his throat to be raw. It made it hard to swallow but somehow he does to speak again. “My name is Fundamental.”
