Susil Crags

Disaster has struck!
The Crags are a series of rocky formations with small caves and crevices throughout. Many of the lower-lying areas of the Crags have been flooded, however, with water pouring in from the Northern stretches of Moladion. Some paths have been completely submerged, and some are nothing more than a few rocky peaks sticking out of the water. The water is fairly slow moving but begins to pick speed up towards the Grotto, becoming a series of intense rapids and waterfalls as it nears the Grotto's entrance.

The area itself is still traversible. However, it can be risky. Large amounts of debris can enter the waterway, creating bridges at times but also creating dams that break and cause ocassional flash-flooding. Be careful, travelers! One wrong step and you could end up finding out where the water goes.

The crags at night were quite dangerous to any animal wanting to brave the rocky cliffs in nothing but blackest night. That’s probably what brought Jago here in the first place. His eyes, having not fully adjusted from waking a short time ago, swept across the terrain for any sign of potential prey. Fast food wasn’t something he particularly loved, but it would do for the time being. The night was silent as expecting and nothing scurried past his immediate location. He smelt nothing worth noting except what seemed to be a porcupine due east. Only a fool would chase after a porcupine anyway, so he avoided the direction altogether.

Jago trudged onward with no set destination but just far enough to remove himself of Tavoria for just a while longer. Having just returned to his makeshift home, he was already bored of it. Being tied to one place was absolutely exhausting to him. Anger bubbled deep within him and he couldn’t help but snarl to himself. Black eyes narrowed now while his ears lay flat and his teeth bore. Angry over nothing, he assumed, other than the fact he had not ripped flesh for several weeks. His last spar had landed him in a heaping trouble in the middle of a rogue pack far north. After fighting three of them off, he turned tail and ran. Maybe it was the feeling of being a coward and retreating that set him off again. It was only natural for the large male to be angry. After all, it did run in his blood.

In the midst of his angst-y fit, he failed to notice the scent of a female in the near distance. It was last minute when his pads scraped the rock ledge that he saw her several feet above him. His lips curled into a tooth smirk before he leapt to a ledge to his left, slowly climbing the crags a bit of way away from her so that he could not be detected as easily. Jago finally came to a small ledge and pulled himself over, seeing the female in full. She was dark against the night sky, her tail dipped in grey and her entire body caressed in moonlight. His eyes scanned her over, taking in every curve and muscle and almost invisible scar. She was quite a look, but then again any female could catch Jago’s attention at this time of year.

Slowly he approached behind her, careful not to make much noise with his claws scraping the ground. When he was only a yard or two away from her, Jago let loose a rough chuckle. “It’s a little dangerous up here at night. Never know when something bad could sneak up and bite you in the ass.” With words tinged in humor, he sat back on his haunches and tucked his cropped tail underneath him for what little support he could manage. “You know, snakes…spiders…dark figures.”

"Me." He thought darkly, but only chuckled once more aloud.
