Peace isn’t a permanent state. It exists in moments

ONLY DEATH AND LOVE CHANGE ALL THINGS

She missed him more than explainable

Sylvia always knew that and it had never been more clear until now as she shot across the ridge’s wet landscape. Another streak of lightening sounded off just as she heard a loud thud behind her. Alarm instantly shot through her nerves and veins like venom as she made a circle to come back towards the thud. Unfortunately the ground wasn’t playing nice and she again miss-stepped making her nearly fall. Agitation swept through her briefly as she heard the roar of the sea behind her crash against the ridge.
The thud she heard much to her dismay was indeed, Midas

His words “I’m fine” carried carelessly with the wind as Sylvia straightened up and moved quickly towards him. With all the storm brewing right above them the sky lit up again giving out soft perlino a chance to actually see Midas who seemed to be rolling in the mud. The sight made her smile just as she realized she had heard him say he wasn’t going to leave her again but left before she could say anything. However with that knowledge as she neared him Sylvia felt that with his statement there were no words to reply. It was a fact, plain and simple.

Finally reaching him Sylvia laughed

”fine isn’t exactly what I would call you” her eyes now sparkled and her voice was lighter. This moment right here was what brought everything together. For far to long even before he left Midas wasn’t Midas. With age he grew more serious, more assertive, more distant. The change was confusing. She felt helpless and scared to ask him as to why he was becoming the man he was. It felt wrong, almost as though she would have been accusing him of something. The entire situation just didn’t sit well so Sylvia didn’t ask and instead watched the complete change only to regret her soundless words later.

Her stomach flipped

The feeling surprised her as she stood in the pouring rain watching her beloved. With another flip and now twist Sylvia knew what it was. Excitement and happiness came back to her stronger than before now with adrenaline pumping through her. butterflies. The feeling brought her such discomfort that she moved forward again. She could still hear the fury of the sea behind them and remembered that before her compromise of Midas capturing her he wanted to go to shelter. Sylvia sort of remembered a dip in one of the rocks on a ledge that would give them just that – shelter.

They could also see the sea below them

It would be a perfect scene to go with her fall in love statement that she seriously thought would get them into a blissful coma come morning. Moving to where his head was Sylvia bent down to run her lips over his forehead breathing in his damp skin ”the funny part is my love - you already had me captured” pulling away Sylvia smiled admiringly at him ”the mud definitely makes it worth getting you to chase me though” pushing her nose to his cheek playfully Sylvia breathed out ”want to show me where shelter is now?”

After the mud dried it gave them a reason to be physical
