Xanti grinned as his second set of words had the mare laughing just as he had only moments before. He had never laughed this much at his old home, the mares were tired of herd life and no one had the lack of knowledge to get close to him. The red had been the only one he had managed to keep long enough to have her warm up to him. Still, he had barely laughed with her. The new experience was new though he began to remember his days with the bachelor herd. Those were the day he had laughed the most. The dark stallion's grin widened as he noticed she was attempting to hide her laughter. It drew a quiet and short laugh out of him to see that he was capable of doing that. Although he did not know the source of her amusement he was sure if he knew they would both be cracking up

She questioned him after he had spoke about his home, laughter hidden in his words. "Of course! I would be worried if I did not know where the rest of my breed was." He noticed her stance changing as his grin had been lost, but soon she relaxed again after he had questioned her. She did not speak about her home in great detail but it was not somewhere he deemed usual. The desert had always meant more to him than the plain he grew up on. Perhaps the red dun had not found a place like that before. Xanti was a bit distracted by the look she was giving him that it took a few moments to process what had just happened. She had complimented him and the grullo had broke into a slow gallop to catch up with her.

The Sorraia's only concern was losing the red dun in the sands. Her coat blended in much easier than his and he hadn't even explored any of it yet. The stallion had not expected to be running after a mare so soon after arriving; he had barely expected meeting any in the dunes in the first place. Eyes lively and ears pressed forward, one could only wonder if he could be any more excited. All the stallion knew was that he had happy to be starting out in his new home this way. Ready to follow, the grullo's pace sped up.
