Never let me go

Never let me go
Sanibel :: Mare : 7 : Mixed : Champagne : 14.2hh : No children :: No home
Sanibel's body was slim, but she was used to many different climates. Where she came from they saw a bit of it all, heat waves, tough winters, but never had she dealt with ocean water. Added to that you had to travel the waters to get between the islands and when it was as cold as it was today your body temperature could drop fast no matter how much fat was on your bones. Sanibel had always kept fit, never ate too much, so the swim had quickly burned calories and the water had soaked into her fur rendering that winter coat useless. This really sucked. The golden cream shivered as her body burned every time the chilly wind blew against her. Soon she felt her legs becoming numb and her head lowered, her light colored mane following over that upside down heart marking on her forehead that acted as her trademark. Sanibel had never seen another with a white marking that resembled a heart like hers did nor had her parents.

Maybe she was becoming delusional because she was beginning to see a tall handsome figure in the coming over to her rescue. She thought that maybe her life could be different now and she could finally have someone special to share this life with, but maybe that was just last minute hopes and dreams talking. Would she die here all alone? It wasn't until she felt a warm body pressed up against her that she realized she wasn't dead yet. This was all real. She wanted to look at the stallion, but as his neck drapes over hers she couldn't bare to move. His warmth just felt so right and so good she didn't want him to move. "L-lay down?" She manages to say with quivering lips, but she does understand. She heard her mother in her head telling her that the ground was much warmer than the air so she should listen to him. Her golden head nods and she lowers her body down to the snowy floor.

She shivers, but is comforted by the stranger at her side saving her life. How was it she got in this mess? To owe so much to someone when she didn't even know his name. "Thanks." She manages to say straight before her teeth give in and begin to chatter.
THANKS BEKAH
