ONLY DEATH AND LOVE CHANGE ALL THINGS
As sunrise continued to creep apon the ridge so did more light allowing Sylvia to see better
And in that revelation she realized that mare who she originally thought was black was in fact much lighter. Her coat slowly dried in different placed giving off the hard tuffs of fur from the salt water. Her coat was a softer red much like a flaxen chestnut. Sylvia assumed this nameless woman would be in-fact chestnut and as the morning wore on her assumption would be proven correct
Sylvia’s previous assumption about leaving Midas sleeping was dreadfully wrong
It didn’t take long before she heard footsteps that caused her to turn her head up towards the direction in which she heard. And there on his way in a hurried stride came her beloved aureate king, handsome as ever arriving to meet her at her side. Sylvia nickered to him as he slide next to her and kept silent as the words Macabre slipped past his lips
Confusion traced the fine lines of her face as Midas speaks again
“you’re not dead” those simple words were exactly what she had though when she first realized that Midas was alive. It brought back memories of that wonderful and painful night causing her to shift her weight around just as Midas touchs her skin with his soft muzzle and it calmed her.
Macabre apologized for coming at this hour
Sylvia shook her head and felt slightly bad not speaking to the girl beforehand. In all the words spoken between the two of them, Midas and Macabre Sylvia stayed silent. It wasn’t until Macabre explained that she had nowhere else to go and directly looked at her did Sylvia finally breath out again offering a kind understanding smile ”It’s ultimately up to Midas but if you need a place to stay I certinaly don’t mine”. it was obvious that they had a past together and despite how curious Sylvia was to know what happened between them she also understood that now definitely was not the time to start asking questions.
