Silent people have the loudest minds.

The rather big male seemed as if he was the head honcho in this heard because the way his stance held him and the way he was respected by the others suggested so. He held himself as a rather happy guy as he stood next to the colts dame it seemed and they just shouted family. A half smile pulled an edge of my mouth at the sight. It was rather fresh to see such warmth between the two. My ears perked forward in interest as I watched the way they all interacted.

My, wouldn't father get a kick out of this and the rest of the testosterone holders. Being close to a single female and being somewhat out numbered, it seemed, by females would have been an up roar back home. They all just, coexisted peacefully. Obviously a rank was held, but they weren't aggressive as it seemed. The ebony curtain set upon my hind quarters flicked across my legs as he says Lyden's been 'busy'. No, not even. I came on my own accord.

As soon as the lead males rumbling voice came announcing from his mouth again I dipped my head low. Peeking around Lyden's chest as he spoke. ' Well I really wasn't expecting so many to come around, but it is best we have meetings like these before winter falls,' His voice seemed to vibrate my lungs as he spoke, but they were definitely greetings. 'a pleasure to meet you girl's. I'm Jabberwocky, my leading lady is the lovely Cream right here,' His muzzle swung around to gesture his lady and back again to the young colt. 'and our son Remo.'

When I greeted Lyden he jumped slightly by becoming startled from my sudden appearance. A smile befell his features though as he turned to my greeting and he corrected me after I greeted him. 'We’re more acquaintances than strangers dear.' I couldn't help, but let a light laugh escape as he reacted in such away. When his nose went to brush against my neck, however, I backed away slightly. His nose just barely touching the skin. Yes, he meant it in a kind, comforting way, but too many times have I been bitten there.

Quietly I spoke, but without the common standoff edge. Well, I suppose you're right. Although, it was just a common greeting I grew up with. Again my lips curved up as the image of him being startled hit memory again and I cocked my head to the side in a playful mock. So, how did little ole' me scare you so much? Lyden turned his cranium to the two leaders and spoke familiarly with them. Then he turned his attention to the painted mare and I. 'Gabby meet Azazel, Azazel meet Gabby'

I stepped a little farther from the stallions side to properly see and greet the female. Nice meeting you, Gabby. The male who invited me here began speaking again. 'Ladies you’ll also hopefully meet Skylar and Quicksilver, and my son Braylen sometime soon who are also part of our herd.' My gaze was ripped from the light paint back to the woman who was carrying. A shy expression bestowed my facade as she corrected Lyden. 'Gandy.'

Twitching my ears to the side as I thought, somehow Gabby fits better. Oh well. Sorry, please forgive me, Gandy. I corrected her name on my tongue as I probably over pronounced it. Then a rather rushed awkward situation presented itself, when the girl came forward in a more fact than question phrasing. Lyden gave a questioning look as well.

For a few brief moments I stayed silent and turned my head away from the two. Then looked back to her blued hues with my own shadowed ones. That, um, you see, well. I... I don't like jumping into things necessarily. My gaze began to slowly avert again, but to the male who introduced himself as Jabberwocky this time. They all seemed welcoming and they were more than friendly to outsiders. Flicking my ears forward I walked around the two painted equines and made my way to the family of three.

Instead of the unsure tremble my voice held seconds before it held a respectful seriousness. I'm sorry for my impolite behavior. I am Azazel and rather new to the islands. It is nice meeting the three royals of the herd for my first visit. I turned my head back to gaze over at Lyden and Gandy, then turned my head back. If it is no bother to anyone, may I possibly stay in the forest? I'll cause no trouble to you or your family. I just simply don't want to live as I have. looking over to the male paint my gaze met his blues and they held the answer he wanted to know that strengthened the verbal answer.
