Silent people have the loudest minds.

A smile formed on my lips when Gandy agreed and when she spoke it was still there. 'You seem sure' Then she gave a somewhat inspective look, but the next words had the smile on my face running. 'Do you speak from experience?' With little hesitation my ears moved back on there own and I turned my head away slightly. How should I answer that? Should I talk of my life before I came to the islands...is it okay? Slowly my head sunk in thought and I glanced over to Gandy. When I spoke my voice was cracked and my throat seemed dry.

Once upon a time, before I came here...yes. That right was stripped from me though. My head still stayed turned away and my gaze looked in the distance. The eyes that usually were warm and welcoming, became clouded and dark. Once I did have a foal, she was my world, but it ended quickly. In an instant the title as mother was taken from me. I froze stiff and for a moment I deadened at the memory.

Then I snapped out of it and shook my head. Pushing things back down inside I looked to Gandy with a very faint smile. She seemed happy about the lecture I had given her unborn foal and she even spoke to it. Brightening up I nodded my head in agreement. I can't wait to meet the young one. No doubt it'll have bright blues like the both of you. Vividly in my head I could imagine the child's gaze and the lively spirit it could inherited from both parents. A light laugh rippled my ribs at the thought.
