Freya is happy when Dogun says that he will allow her to make the swim back and forth from the Inlet to the Commons.
"Thank you. I promise I will always return home to you each night." she says, and she means it. There is a long stretch of silence between them as they make their way into the trees, and when they arrive, Dogun speaks again.
His words surprise her, and Freya has to think for a moment before she can form a proper response.
"Because you are not like other stallions. You are sweet and kind and you don't seem like the type who will force me to do anything against my will." she smiles over at Dogun, her blue eyes sparkling as she speaks.
"You are not mean and you are not overly protective or possessive. I like that. Living with you, I have freedom to do as I please. That is important to me."
She gives a gentle sigh, burying her muzzle in Dogun's plentiful mane.
"I hope you will not regret choosing me to help lead beside you." Her eyes flutter closed.
"I am young and I may make mistakes. But if I am going to make mistakes, I want to make them with you by my side, because I know you will not judge me for them, or punish me harshly." She drags her lips from his mane to his neck, nibbling affectionately at his cheek.
"I am very lucky to have found you."
