Please Don't Leave Me

Silent people have the loudest minds.

I nodded as the older female introduced herself and then out of the blue Gandy showed up. Putting herself between me and the new mare. Instead of being happy to see her my ears flew back and I gave a snort. Backing up from her and moving in a different position. The twitching became worse, mostly in my shoulders and it was irritating me. When Aureila called Gandy a mother hen my ears perked forward. Ya, that's a good description at the moment. To be honest I didn't like others coming to defend me. It made me feel belittled and made me want to prove I didn't need help all the time.

Of course I had my softer moments, but this was not one of them. Right now my blood was boiling and I was containing it. I felt as if I was on fire even though snow was dropping on my obsidian hide. Was it...it hit me. I knew what was bothering me now. Pressing my front hoof into the ground I was making an indent in the earth. Giving a smile I flicked a lock of hair from my eye and gave a light chuckle. Sorry for the cautious approach. We do welcome you to the forest though and hope you come to like it here. Truly.

Hide your problems Azazel. My mind repeated. Now isn't the time. Forget about it right now! I turned my head to Gandy and gave a weird expression. Didn't expect to see you here. I thought you were asleep. It was apparent my old habits were already coming back up. I looked at the ground and noticed I had dug a hole without knowing it. Even then my twitching wasn't going away and I took a deep breath. Calm down. Sternly I ordered myself and I closed myself together again. The collected girl coming back. So, Lyden brought ya here. Well, let me correct myself. He offered for you to come here and you decided to make the trip, huh?

All anxiety and shyness disappeared as my voice came out with confidence. It was smooth and didn't crack like it was a moment ago. Flicking my ears forward and I trained my eyes keenly on the both of them I waited silently with a strong stance.
