Boss's Decree

"For every brother you bring to our
midst, you may keep a trinket all to
yourself. She will not be sullied or traded, unless you deem otherwise. But should you bring a mare here without a new brother first, then I will consider her property of the Lagoon as a whole
and do with her as I see fit." - Garmr

Rules

• The Lagoon is where homeless stallions come to live as a brotherhood. Mares may not live here except as captives or companions for the Leaders.

• Soldiers keep mainly to fighting, Thieves keep mainly to raiding, and Associates may do both, neither, or act as diplomats. Members may issue their own battles and raids, but should generally consult the General, Marauder or Boss for permission.

• All major decisions are determined by vote, but the Boss maintains order within the Lagoon and has the final say.

• Elections for leadership positions will be held every TLI summer, provided the qualifying criteria are met.

• You can find detailed information about how the Lagoon works on the Rules page.

• Upon election, the Boss can issue a rule for members to follow during their tenure. It is up to leadership to enforce.

Only crime and the criminal

Felony had been making his way back into the dark clutches of the Lagoon when the smell of blood washed over him. It was thick as if he was awash in it and the stallion paused, raising his crown and peered through the murky trees. His golden orbs did not spot anything but the smell was too strong to ignore. With a snort the stallion moves forward again, his pace slow and his head down like a wolf on the prowl. He stalks through the mud, the creeping vines brushing against his skin as he moves just below their grasp until his eyes finally come across the still form of Synder.

Shock radiates through the stallion and for a moment he can do nothing but stand and stare. Finally he finds motion and steps closer, lowering his head down to brush his ebony lips against her neck. There is still warmth in the skin despite the chill the sweat and blood has caused. The mare had been laying here for a while now, he could tell by now everything had dried and crusted on her flesh and his ears pinned angrily. How could she be so weak as to allow this to happen?

Raising his head only slightly; he looked around for a still form of a foal. Surely if the mother was this close to death the foal would be too. But the stallion did not see any sign of the foal and the brute knows by the birth that lay at the mother’s haunches that it had escaped her womb at some point. So the child had to have been stolen. The very thought caused a spark of raging fire to begin to burn in his belly but he pushed it away for now and lowered his head back down to Snyder. Rational thought told him he could not blame the woman for the disaster that had obviously taken place here. She was still young and this was her first birth and these things did happen on occasion. But Felony still needed an outlet for his anger.

As the stallion brushed his lips over Synder’s neck and up towards her face he suddenly caught another scent on her skin. Mercury. Again the stallion’s ears pin at the traitorous mare’s scent and he wanted nothing more than to track her down and punish her for abandoning Synder and taking the foal for herself. But he did not move and continued to stand over the young mare and would stay there until she woke or took her last breath.
