My Dirty 'lil Secret for self-created rod-bendin' methods...

Kepner Tregoe - Problem Solving & Decision Making
http://www.kepner-tregoe.com/

I took this OSU course in the late 80s for Phillips/work...

I now use the KT method for my winter brainstorming for new self-created rod-bendin' methods, along w/a few close friends of equal 'skill level...

My Dad said a mind is a terrible thing to waste, so I shifted my focus from Bass to Eyes (boat control & etc) around 1990 when my Bassin' body went south...

-I'll add that the proper/successful use of KT is a long learning curve & that I used it on numerous major work projects before retirement - I just checked, my largest project was completed in July 1990.

Spawn @ IL...

Our Eyez start on the riprap & hardbottom humps in March/April/May. It's mostly 2lb ave dink males squirtin' in the boat in the daytime, but after dark the daytime inactive Gals move up to do there spawn thingy. Shallow IL has loads of clueless fishing pressure in the daytime, so only a few 'luck inactive Gals are caught in the daytime for all 4 seasons...

By June with the numerous mayfly hatches and over-abundance of new shad they get harder and more picky to catch, then comes the summer dogdays of Aug with high daytime water temps - if you read what I posted you should have the 'drift on my home lake & my reasons for my 'rodbendin' style,,,

You I-Guys might have some large shallow bays or riprap that you could twist my IL approach for your use...mostly I like to 'chase sUMos over 8 lb after dark in all seasons (hard & soft).

later Gators-
da old fart...

Hi Gonz.

Indian Lake ave 6-7' deep, has 70 islands, miles and miles of channels, 5800 acres, loads of pad beds & other structure, 29 miles of shoreline, many 4-4.5' humps and dredge slots that max out at 17' w/most 8-10'.

It is a great Bass & Eye lake that I have adapted to it's shallow water w/method tools that are sometimes different than deeper water lakes use...

Take Care
