FROM THE OCEAN SHE RISES

She smiles at Lyden’s words, he seems inspired by her quote and she is glad. The gamla tík was a smart mare and Jörmungandr knew not to question her wisdom. She had been told some might laugh at her views on how a herd should be but those who did were ignorant and would most likely live short lives. If a herd doesn’t stick together and look out for one another, predators and other dangers would quickly destroy them. Lyden proposes a herd meeting and telling them about it – putting it into action. ”I would like that”, she pauses to consider a moment, ”and I am sure they will too. It is important that everyone feels like they belong.”

She wonders, when he agrees with her thoughts on the gods’ plans for them, if their gods are the same. She knew they had great plans, she wouldn’t have found herself standing here now if they didn’t. He comments on her granddam being proud if she ruled the forest and she huffed a light breath, chuckling softly ”Only if I did a good job.”.If she ran the herd to ruin, Ársæl would fight the very gods to return to earth and kick her into shape. The thought brought a smile to her lips.

Still untangling the knots and stray pieces of dirt from his mane she sighs softly, ”Mmmm, It would be nice" she agrees.
