AND FROM THEIR SPEARS THE SPARKS FLEW FORTH

As she made her way towards the small gathering, it seemed she wasn’t moving fast enough for grullo stallion’s liking, either that, or he was getting her back for herding him on the crossing. Regardless, her ears flicked back into the tangled mess of her mane and she allowed herself to be pushed to join the other two women. For such a stubborn, lazy creature, this kind of interaction was nothing new.

The slate coloured roan took her spot amongst the girls, not bothering to place herself prominently. Sigrún did not care about the pecking order and would prefer to be kept out of any squabbles for rank. As long as she was safe and well fed, she was happy. The politics of herd life were beyond boring. If the others chose to fight amongst themselves she’d merely snort her disapproval and then ignore them in the hopes they’d leave her out of it.

Her ears returned to a perked up position to listen to what Dögun had to say. He spoke of the wolf pack and sticking together, common sense really. She snorted at having to be told and let everyone else answer. The large, draft roan was as silent as she was but seemed to accept what he said. The golden roan agreed too and spoke of bonding as they are a family now. Sigrún would be the judge of that. For now they were just a means to an end, a group of equines who provided safety to each other. She was happy to stick with them for this reason so long as she wasn’t expected to be the life of the party, That being said, she wouldn’t pass up some mutual grooming; her mane and coat was becoming quite the shaggy mess. "Já" was the only word she gave to affirm her understanding and compliance, what more did she need to say?

The golden mare spoke up again and the dun mare’s ears twitched. She snorted, “Good” and with that said, plus an idle flick of her tail, she dropped her head to graze. She was still listening but wouldn’t pay them much mind unless addressed directly or if they said something that required her input.
