A pirate flag and an Island Girl -Lyden/Any-

Delicate pink nostrils suck in each life giving breath of air, but it stung, each breath sucking in a mixture of oxygen and salt water. Each stroke brings her closer to Luthien, to the forest...to Lyden, it had been a week since their last meeting in the Bay. She had become disoriented and separated from Lyden, while swimming to ask for Soljor's release of her. She had searched desperately for Lyden but coming face to face with Soljor first, he had pushed her into the herd. Soljor had made it clear that she was to stay there or there would be consequences. Fearing his wrath she had stayed, regretting it with each passing minute. While Soljor's other mares uttered traitor and gave her hateful glances, she had thought that maybe they could of been her family. She was wrong, so wrong... So she waited, the minutes crawling slowly by than Soljor had returned, Lyden was gone...

The ocean heaves her pale form onto the beach, her body exhausted, her front leg throbbing her own blood mingles with ocean's salty brine. Lifting her head, she finds her front leg gashed open, she must of slipped on the rocks, while trying to sneak from the Bay. Laying her head down again, she close her crystalline eyes, resting for just a moment, soaking in the sun. Pain, fever, and chills rack her body. The events of the past weeks finally taking its toll on her body, the stress..the fear. She pushes all other thoughts, worries from her head, she turns her thoughts to Lyden. Was he here? Was this even the right island? As her thoughts flickered from his face to his sweet words, she began to slip from consciousness...She did not fight it, letting the dark overtake her, for a brief moment she was worry free.

Cae did not know how long she laid there, but all she knew is that the evening had given way to the darkness that followed. Her crystalline eyes search the beach that surrounded her, the moon's silver light offering her its illuminating glow. Her fever had resided, but the aftermath still raked her body. Lifting her pale head once again, she tries to stand on her own, testing each of her limbs. Pain shoots through her front leg, wincing, she bites her lip...She could do this. Unfolding her body, she lurches to her full height, keeping as much weight off of her foreleg as much as possible. Lifting her pale head, crystalline eyes search this foreign land, hoping that Lyden would appear, strolling down the beach in all of his glory. Hobbling a few steps, she bites her lip to keep from crying out. She manages to hobble another few strides, but the pain and exhaustion is too much. She crumples into a heap of legs, she would rest, knowing that she would recover in the morning.

Her crystalline eyes scan her own body, she was a mess...Her swim had left her with scrapes across her pale legs, even a gash on her hind leg. Those damned rocks. Sighing her gaze falls on her foreleg, blood caked to the wound, but at least for now the bleeding had stopped. What had she gotten herself into?
