Danny felt his tongue glue itself to the roof of his mouth. The longer he looked at Allianah, the more intimidated he became. She was even more impressive up close than she was at a distance, and that was saying rather a lot. Danny fought the urge to gulp again, his hands clamped tightly around the heavy book to hide their shaking. Even Sol, who was a mischievous monster on a good day, was subdued. When she glanced his way, the massive tiger - who should have been rather intimidating in his own right - actually ducked behind the boy (though his striped tail and bulky form couldn't quite disappear, as Danny was rather slim).

And then... oh, and then, she scowled. At him. Danny gaped at her, unable to hide the anxiety shining in his wide eyes. He fought the urge to glance around in desperation. Surely someone would come and rescue him from the goddess, would explain that there had to be some sort of mistake because Danny wasn't really the sort of boy to garner a deity's attention, at least, not any other than his teacher Khase. Even without her magic, Danny had the feeling Allianah would squash him like an annoying fly if he so much as looked at her cross-eyed. She seemed slightly appeased by his use of the proper title, and let out a long, slow breath of relief that he'd said it correctly. That breath cut off so abruptly he almost choked when the woman spoke again. Her tone made it evident Danny had no choice in the matter, but he couldn't help but look down at his horribly messy clothing in dismay. Why did he have to be summoned to the Pantheon now of all times?! He cleared his throat and peeked up at the goddess, wondering if there was any chance he could get her to wait for a few moments while he changed and tidied himself up, but the look in her eye told him he'd better not risk it. Patience and Allianah didn't seem like they went together very well.

Danny hurried to keep up with the woman, staying a respectful few paces behind her (Gods forbid he step on her feet by accident!). He shot a desperate look towards the other children as he passed, as if one of them might take his place, but they either avoided his eyes or grinned and waved as if he were off on some grand adventure. Didn't they know Danny wasn't the adventuring sort?! Sol rumbled in his chest, giving Danny just enough warning to keep from barreling into the goddess' back as she stopped near the stables. His heart thudding in his chest, he flushed again and patted the tiger's head in thanks. The goddess was, thankfully, temporarily distracted by the process of getting her mount ready. He managed to catch the attention of one of the stablehands, who recognized him as Dylan's twin, and passed off his medical tome with a quick and quiet request to have Dylan take it back to the Castle later.

When she spoke yet again, Danny blinked up at her in mute horror. Ride with her? On the horse? Now? The boy blinked, shook himself sternly, and clumsily mounted at the back of the saddle, which he then clung to for dear life. He shared a nervous look with Sol, who was standing out of range of the horse's hooves just in case. Most animals like hers, unless they were accustomed to him, didn't enjoy having such a big predatory animal very close.

"M-m-may I inquire what it is I-I-I've done, seba'iqer?" he asked quietly.
