SOLJOR stallion / six / 16.0 hh / gypsy vanner mutt / silver smoky black tobiano/ rules the bay / o melhor x tallynne
Stardust swung her butt about again, attempting to get her long and fuzzy legs under her. She looked much like a spider on water all of her limbs seemingly in different directions. Finally, slowly, one hoof at a time, the painted filly managed to get her legs squarely under her. She snorted and looked at her mother. Instinct pulled at her stomach and told her that her mother had something for her. But taking a step seemed rather disturbing. However, one step, then another - each hoof moving independently of the others, she managed to reach her mother’s side. With a self satisfied wag of her tail, she explored below to find the thing that instinct told her was there - and fill her now hungry stomach.

Not too far, Soljor had secured the rest of the herd in a cave so as to protect them from the spring blizzard. It seemed as if these things were worse than winter. However, Fly was unaccounted for and he was worried, braving the hail and winds searching for the bay horse. It was just as panic began to grab his heart that he heard something over the winds. It was a strange noise; a different call but it was a lead all the same. He cantered back into the rock face and found an open cavern.

He stepped in and as his eyes adjusted he spotted Fly - and a bundle of black and white at her side. He stopped in the mouth of the cave. There was a perfect little creature - clearly his. But also so alike Caliber. He approached slowly unsure as to whether or not his presence was desired. But he was glad the pair were safe and seemingly healthy.

Stardust’s ears made how the footfalls on the stone and that they were different from the hail that patterned against her black ears. She broke off her meal and turned to see the other shape. She ducked around behind her mother as quickly as she could manage, which wasn’t very quick. She pressed herself closer to her mother. Soljor halted his approach. His ears were forward and he was a little confused.

Maybe fillies were just more terrified than colts.
