The Rules
  • There will be no fraternizing with enemies. If you put yourself knowingly in danger, don't expect a rescue.
  • We are only as strong as our weakest link. See to it that you are getting stronger in some skill that is useful, whether it is battling, recruiting, charming, etc.
  • The King and Queen have final say in all matters.

Vesti

It had been a good day for Vesti to let her wanderings take her again. She was a hardy creature of the desert and had been one with it for long enough. She did not fear the sands, but she felt she needed time to quell her own demons. At least, for the moment. Now, however, she crossed the last few hills and sighed. She was dark with sweat, having walked and loped a little through the sands. She preferred to do her running at night, but sometimes she just needed to clear her head.

With an easy gait she approached the oasis and it was not long before she heard voices. Orhan’s and another. She perked her ears with interest. Did Orhan finally bring a girl of his own home? The Voice asked, strangely interested. Vesti snorted. Just a question.

“We are not on speaking terms at the moment,” Vesti stated, her voice low. Then what are you doing now huh? Ok, ok, that was low. Vesti come on… Vesti quickly trotted down the slope and approached the two.

Orhan was his normal self. The stranger was delicate and did not look like she had been exactly in a good situation. In fact, she looked like she had only recently been thrown up here. She sighed. Although the stranger was arabian, Vesti doubted blood alone would allow her to survive without intervention. It was a good thing then that Orhan had brought her here.

So he probably did bring her home… just skipped the courting her part, the Voice laughed. Think it was similar to the way Badr brought you? Vesti ignored the comment.

“I hope I’m not interrupting,” Vesti said, her voice sweet and a friendly smile on her features. The two had been in a conversation all their own. Vesti had not necessarily heard anything private besides the fact that the girl confirmed she was arabian and not from these parts. “But mind if I stop by and take a drink?” She wasn’t too far from the pair, on the other side of the pool. She had lots of things she could have said, but decided it was best to quench her thirst and be rational. She dropped her head to drink her fill, eyes not leaving the stranger.

Inquisitive for a change? You know, ignoring me will not make me go away! But the sorrel could certainly try.
