When I replaced the fuel lines on my previous Ranger I was instructed to not only change the fuel lines from the tank to the primer bulb, but the line running to the engine also. Many times, you will find a plastic looking piece that runs through the base of the motor to the pulse pump. Do away with that piece by running one line directly from the primer bulb to the engine. By all means (if your motor is a merc) rebuild the pulse pump when you replace the lines since there undoubtedly will be bits of the old line caught in the screen inside the pump. Replies:
