IT'S OKAY FOR YOU TO HATE ME[aureila]

Pulling himself from the sea Lyden paused to shake the remaining salt from his skin as the pale brute moved into an easy lope disappearing into the foliage and comfort of his home. Traveling alone had done the pale king some good. He felt refreshed after seeing his twins but the ache in his heart that they didn’t come back with him continued to bother him. Just a couple more months before the girls would be weaned and Meradith promised to return to the forest. Moonshine Lyden wasn’t sure and Skylar he assumed would never leave her ‘true” home again but still held some sort of hope.

Breathing out heavy Lyden moved to the dirt path that he knew all too well and eased his tired physic into an easy gaited trot. With his heritage, his trot consisted of his legs out stretched yet relaxed allowing him to move over the ground with ease as though he was floating. Long silky tendrils trailed behind him as his forelock fell to his right side with the wind. Now that things seemed to have settled Lyden needed to find aureila and get to know the beautiful banshee more. He smelt her strongly on a constant basis however she didn’t hang with the herd very much from what he had seen which concerned Lyden. There are to be no strangers in his family and so he wished to find out why the mysterious girl preferred the shadows.

Snorting as he moved Lyden spotted the lake that nestled comfortably between his favorite willows and without hesitation dove right into the cool water. It was cold but felt warm compared the ocean and once he could no longer touch bottom and swam a lap around it, Lyden pulled himself from the water and shook. Grinning at out amazing it always felt to get rid of the salt from his pale skin Lyden moved further down the grass that also surrounded the lake to the stream. This is where he paused and called out to aureila before lowering his muzzle to drink in the cool water that soothed the rawness in his mouth and throat from swallowing gulps of sea as waves came on his journey.
