He seemed friendly enough and Gaia barely gave him the chance to move over before she was trotting under the protecting of the overhang. She shook the water off her fur, sending it flying everywhere, and sat down with her back against the wall. For a minute, she didn't say anything as she looked her new found companion up and down. His eyes were the most noticeable feature and she felt a shudder run down her spin as she remembered Flare had had the same colored eye. Well, if this one had wanted to attack her wouldn't he have done so already? Letting her guard down a little she offered a small smile.
"Thank you. This is nasty storm caught me off guard. Came out of nowhere."
There was more silence as Gaia tried to figure out what to say. Ever since she was attacked she found it more and more difficult to talk to strangers and if it hadn't been for the rain she would have avoided the wolf like the plague. She never knew who was friend or foe anymore and though it made her sad, she liked being alone so she could always be safe.
But it seemed like she would not need to keep the conversation going. The darker male spoke up. He called himself Vincent Vega but the shorter name would do. Then he asked who she was. Remembering the way her father would introduce himself to others, Gaia bowed her head.
I am Gaia, daughter of Iblis and Rhae. I am just a loner from the woods." With the formalities out of the way, the pup looked out at the stormy land before returning her attention back to Vincent.
So, what brings you to this gloomy place? Are you looking for something or just a wandering, like me?"
