The Lost Islands

A pirate flag and an island girl

And I traded it in for a whole 'nother world
A pirate flag and an island girl

Cerulean eyes sweep towards the her king, for a split second his happiness wains. Was she correct? Had she seen a fleeting bit of sadness across his handsome face? The light was fading quickly, she could of easily be mistaken, but she feared that she was wrong. Something consumed him from the inside, she could feel that there was something that he was leaving out. Curiously she searches his face for any sign that she may be correct, but before Cae could bite her lip. Her words spill from her mouth. "Is there something bothering you? I feel that you are hiding something from me." Losing her confidence, she becomes silent. Maybe she was pushing the boundaries to far, maybe he would become angry with her for prying.

Silence spread between them but soon he broke it, trying to raise her confidence. My herd does accept you. But for a brief moment Cae did not believe him, they seemed stand offish towards the perlino. Maybe it was the fact that he had traded four mares for her? She assumed that they did not agree with Lyden's decision and Gandy's words towards her had confirmed her suspicions. Sighing she finds the courage to look into his crystal clear eyes. "I am a stranger though. Correct me if I am wrong, but I believe that your mares disapprove of your decision, your trade for me." Dropping her gaze she stares into the clear waters that crashed around her, if Lyden had not been at her side she may of just sank into salty waves.

Just as she was at her lowest, he spoke again, calling her his everything. A faint tingle begins to prick her skin, was this what love felt like? It began as a tingle and consumed you with each passing day? Cerulean eyes finds his. "As lucky as I am, to have found you." A bit of warmth crawls into her cheeks, despite the cold waters that crashed around them. Reaching her muzzle towards his warmth, at this moment, did not care if the others accepted her. He was here to comfort her and that was all that mattered. A chill runs down her spine, maybe the cold was beginning to affect her. "Agreed, we should head to the sand before the both of us catch a cold." A smile plays at her pink lips. How would they explain that one?

Eagerly she follows him from the surf, her hooves digging into the sand that lined the waves. Her cerulean eyes aimed at the ever darkening sky, one by one the stars appeared from the dark blue sky. "What would you wish for? If we saw a shooting star."
