Freya smiles down at Dogun, a feeling of warmth radiating from her chest and creeping out over her limbs and up towards her poll. "I hope so." she says, her voice soft. "I want us all to be a family, willing to support each other at all times." That is what a herd is meant to do, right? Freya had not spent the earlier years of her life amongst a proper herd, and therefore has little proper knowledge as to how one is supposed to work. All she knows is: they are a family, and they are supposed to stick together. And her job, as lead mare, is to help Dogun make that possible. Beyond that, she has no knowledge of the finer parts of their heirarchy.

Freya nods at Dogun's words, and pushes the thought of children from her mind, forcing herself to listen as he speaks again, hoping to become distracted from the empty feeling in her chest. Her head bobs, blue eyes coming alight and a smile crossing her sable lips. "Yes, yes!" her tone has become lively - a complete turn around from her sad words just moments earlier. "He is very nice! You definitely made a good choice with him. He will fit well among us."

Smiling, the young dun mare leans down and places an affectionate nibble on Dogun's cheek. "You are doing such a wonderful job with this herd. Did you ever doubt yourself?" she asks, tilting her head in a curious manner. "I mean, you are so small compared to the other kings, did you ever wonder if they would take you seriously?" Even if he had, he has defied the odds by building a herd this large and keeping it under control so well for so long. Freya, honestly, feels immeasurably proud of her pony king.
