The patch of sunlight that she has settled int he middle of was quite comforting, her dark coat quickly absorbing the heat from the large, golden orb in the sky so far away from the cavern that the girl resides within. She is already a lovely creature, though scruffy from her unkempt puppy fur, yet she will even out quite well as she begins to grow ever more.
To the south, the shadows fade to even darker shades, shifting from soft grays all the way to indistinguishable blacks, of which fascinates her to no end. Her imagination wanders, just as her paws begin to, and her eyes lock onto the darkness ahead of her. What monsters may lurk in here that are worse than what is outside? Her curiosity is a dangerous thing and yet she is already witty enough to out-do any that may attempt to overcome her. That does not make her less suseptible to surprise or fear when it is least expected. The sudden sound of a deep voice behind her has a small yelp echoing down the tunnels as she spins to face what intruder may be bold enough to approach, her small lips instantly curling up to show her needled teeth before she realizes that it is nothing more than the other wolf who hangs around here all too often.
"The shadows are more fun." She speaks evenly, one ear flicking backward in a bout of nervousness, though she perks up as she begins to confront him on what he had said.
"And I'm not your daughter.." A strange look is given to him, as if he were some sort of delusional psycho, and begins to pad past him and back toward the den.
"I'm going to tell mom that you're here." Her head is tossed up and angled so that she can see him over her shoulder as she passes, a bit of a dramatic show of her ability to become a complete prig - or whatever persona it may be for the day. Her eyes turn back to the direction that she was going in, but her skull remains to be held highly as she prances away with confidence.
