Danny listened intently as Thoth spoke of his "mold". Thoth was a bit long-winded, and used a lot of impressive terms, but overall he was able to follow what the other boy spoke of rather well. He'd grown used to such conversations, since Dr. Gupta himself often forgot that Danny was only ten and, more often than not, spoke to him as he might another fully grown adult. It was easy to perform the various checks and tests Dr. Gupta had set him to while Thoth spoke, something Danny was grateful for as it eliminated a lot of the awkwardness he'd been worried about.

"Well, I'd be interested in giving it a shot, but I bet Dr. Gupta would kill us both," he said as Thoth's ramble drew to an end. He scooted his medical bag off the chair and took a seat, his head cocking to the side. "Where did you learn all this from? I haven't found it in any of my textbooks, though I guess from what you've said it would be unlikely I would. I wish we had more connection to Earth so I could learn more..."

He had a feeling Thoth, of all people, would understand his desire to learn more, and more about the medical field in particular. Solarius wrinkled his face a bit at Thoth's snort of amusement, looking wounded, but inside he felt rather, well, pleased. It didn't seem like Thoth thought much was funny, but apparently he'd (somehow) managed to amuse the boy. But then, all thoughts of such things vanished as Morveren stirred. Sol leaned forward, his rounded ears rotating to face her as he studied her with wide-eyed interest. Their eyes met and then... Sol yelped, startled as Morveren leapt into the air and squealed, running around the bed like a mad creature. He leaned far back, looking from the water fox to Thoth and back.

And then... IT WAS ON HIM! Sol wiggled around, trying to catch a glimpse of the strange creature now on her very own Sol-perch, but was also careful not to dislodge her and cause her to tumble off. He blinked at her, deliberately flicking his tail to within her grasp and then back out. Danny was giggling, his expression far lighter than it had been in weeks. He looked more like the ten-year-old he was, rather than the studious apprentice doctor.
