& yes, tennis is so not the same without Tim. I have watched tennis since being a very young girl but Tim arriving on the scene was wonderful, to me he was the perfect tennis player, an elegant serve volleyer, whose driving desire was to do well for himself but also, & even more so, I felt, for Britain. His quiet determination to make GB a force to be reckoned with at DC inspired everybody & touched a lot of hearts too, none more so than mine. It was a golden time.
