Freya lets out a sharp "ha!" at Grai's statement; she is obviously very amused by his statement. "No, no. I barely even knew him! That would be weird." She says. "Besides, even if he had stuck around and Dogun had still come along, I don't think I would have gone with him." She gives a nonchalant shrug, dismissing the topic and quickly moving onto the next thing to talk about.

She couldn't help but notice the way Grai looked away when she inquired about his parents. Perhaps it was a sensitive topic; even so, he didn't seem to mind answering. She listened intently, many questions filling her mind as he spoke - had he seen his father since he had left? Did he try to find his father, try to follow him? Why or why not? Despite the nagging feeling these questions provided with her, she decided it would be best not to press the topic any further.

I'd be very frightened.

Grai's words pique Freya's curiosity, and she cocks her head to one side. "I take it your mother is very..." she pauses, looking for the right word, "...obstinate?" Her lips twitch as she looks down at Grai. Although her parents had been wanderers, it hadn't been uncommon for them to come across an equine who refused to leave their territory - they would rather die there than abandon the place they called home. She couldn't blame them, really.

The bay sabino nods in response to the chestnut's question. "Once, when I was young. My wanderer parents took me through the outskirts of one." she pauses, snorting. "I don't think I would like to go back. It's too hot for my liking." Besides, she is perfectly happy, here in the Inlet with Dogun and the small herd she considers her family, even if they don't seem like one to outside eyes.
