Jay glanced around at the forest as the two stallion spoke about Magnus' sister. She considered sending her daughter off in such a way that she could excuse herself and chase down the dark filly. But no, Mjar would not be able to keep up with her mother's speed once they met up. It would be better to slip away and hope they could be silent enough to explore and leave the stallions to finding the sister.
The pale mare looked back at the pale stallion, nearly snorting. He had made one mention of Magnus' sister being the queen and now he spoke of her being a lead mare. Yes, Jay decided, the stallion is either vain or a control freak. Still, the pale mare smiled and answered his question. "As I said, I was invited by my brother. I don't think I would come if I didn't want to seek him out." Mjar started to pull away from her mother and Jay shifted her weight before continuing. "I am interested in meeting the queen and sister. Would you mind, Magnus?" She let her gaze move to the spotted stallion. If he wanted some time to be alone and re-connect with his sister, Jay would gladly take her leave.
Names. Jay hated giving out her name and she really didn't want to get her daughter involved. Still, if Mjar wanted to share her name, the black yearling could say it well enough. The pale mare spoke up as soon as Magnus had finished. "And I am Jay." The black yearling seemed to realize that her mother had not introduced her for a reason and stepped back a step or two. Jay felt her daughter's muzzle brush lightly against her side. The pale mare lifted her head higher and smiled lightly. To say that she was still excited to seek out her brother was an understatement.
