 And it's consequences keep you up at night. The breeze made its way through the thick vines and flat leaves of Kasabian's jungle. A golden lobe flicked forward and back as he listened to the Ridge as it rustled, insects humming, birds chirping and the occasional scurry of a woodland mammal passing through. Atlantis came alive in the warmer months, despite the intense humidity and the relentless sun. Most of the native creatures here were equipped to handle such conditions. Equines, however, were perhaps the most ill-equipped. Beads of moisture pimpled the soft skin of the stallion's dark muzzle and around his eyes. Sweat darkened the golden patches of his sleek buckskin coat. It was hot, damn hot, and Kasabian was restless. Nostrils flared with each heaving breathe, but he remained relatively relaxed in his outer demeanor. Emerald orbs shifted to Pilar as she spoke. He lipped lazily at the crest of her neck, before moving forward, urging her to take a stroll along with him. "Would you care to join me on a short journey over to Paradise? I believe it's time to introduce myself." Kasabian spoke, taking careful strides over the tree's thick branches. When Pilar asks about his leg, his gaze immediately drops to it. From plain sight, he looked normal. The blood flow was fine, the muscling consistent. But a tender heat tore through it and the ligaments there were damaged, held together by feeble scar tissue. It would be easy for him to bow the tedon again. "I'm afraid this is as good as it gets," he said. "I may be half crippled, but I can still beat you in a race." He playfully leaned into her with his shoulder and carried on, nearing a clearing in the Ridge's central jungle. "Do you want to know how I injured it?"
