The Grotto

Disaster has struck!
Years ago, an earthquake broke open several entrances into a deep, winding series of subterranean systems. It was thought that deep below, underground rivers snaked their way below Moladion. Now, flooding in the Northern reaches of Moladion has proven this theory to be true.

The Grotto is almost entirely submerged. Many of the entrances are completely inaccessible, and those that are only extend a few hundred feet before ending in water. The lower entrances, however, act almost like a giant drain for Moladion. Water pours down into the Grotto's maw as powerful rapids and waterfalls, and large amounts of debris have build up throughout the area. It can be exceptionally dangerous to travel due to the risk of flash-flooding and dams suddenly breaking, but the Grotto does offer the most consistent access across the floodwaters because of those dams.

Note:The Grotto will return to normal once 25 posts have been completed (or at Staff discretion). During this time, new threads will receive a 'Surprise','Disaster', and prizes.

The slim, pale female slept soundly in her den, her mismatched pastel eyes closed in contended sleep. Since she had been living with Samil and Naamah she had learned a lot about hunting for and defending herself, how to use her small size to her advantage. Antoinette couldn't have been happier to do whatever Samil wished, after he took her under his wing so to speak she felt as though she owed him everything. The former princess had been uneasy at first, a bit maladjusted to the small group. After all, in a past life she had been living with everything handed to her, and even now she expected it- but tended to keep those thoughts to herself. Anne realized she had quite the good thing going for her at the moment, and she wasn't about to screw it up.

Her eyes blinked open at the sound a familiar voice, rousing her from her sleep. She looked up at him, blinking the sleep from her eyes, and nodded. Her petite form rose into a stand, and she stretched out her limbs before trotting after Samil towards where he had left the deer. The girl's stomach rumbled quietly at the prospect of food, she had been growing a bit and filling out some more, and with that came an increased appetite. Though Antoinette remained slight, she had grown a bit since her first meeting with Samil where she was but a tiny pup.

She entered the other part of the dens where the smell of deer pervaded the air, and her pastel eyes lit up with the prospect of fresh meat. Antoinette sidestepped a bit as she entered, giving some space to the shadow of a female that was the mother to Samil's pups. She wasn't sure what she thought of Naamah, she respected her, but the ebon wolf was mysterious and Anne wasn't quite sure what to think. Her pale ears flicked forward as Samil began to talk, and she listened with slight interest in her mismatched eyes as he discussed something about a pack. Politics hadn't even interested her when she was a princess and they surely hadn't become interesting since.

However, Antoinette's interest was recaptured when he said her name. She looked around at the pups and nodded, her tail giving a few waves. "Oui, I can do that." she said in her slightly accented voice, waiting for him to finish before stepping forward to dig her teeth into the meat, careful to give everyone else space as well.
