Sighting in Vermont
IP: 69.54.4.185

Last night (Aug. 3rd) my son (10 years old)went fishing in a beaver pond behind our house. He was gone about 30 minutes when he came back in the house all upset, shaking/crying. He said he was walking back from the beaver pond and 20 ft off the path was a Mountain Lion laying on it's stomach. He said it never moved just watched him. He said the tail was long with a black tip. He also said the face looked like a pug not a dog with a nose. We walked down the path about an hour later and he showed me where it layed. It's right on a deer run. In the winter I see the deer using this area to travel between 2 fields.
I talked to my neighbor and he said he has seen it twice this summer running across the road.
I have setup a trail cam so hopefully we can get a picture of it.
I know one thing, my son is petrified to go down there now.

We are located in Hinesburg, VT Just south on Burlington. Very rural.
