Torram relaxed a bit at Tristan's words; he was still worried he might have interrupted something, but at least the two didn't seem too bothered by his appearance. Tristan, in particular, seemed rather casual about the whole thing. He smiled a bit, a quirk of his lips, and nodded when Tristan clapped him companionably on the shoulder.

"Got it," he said, though Tristan's attention had already turned to Mortimer. Torram understood, seeing as it wasn't every day someone ran into a horse composed of bones instead of flesh. Mortimer seemed to enjoy Tristan's attentions, even going so far as to "lip" (more like gnaw) the boy's shirt in a friendly sort of way. At Tristan's question, Torram grinned a little and gave an exaggerated eye roll. His smile lit a bit more at Miriam's giggle; even though he was terribly awkward around females, it wasn't so bad when their attention wasn't entirely on him.

"Because, if you call him a girl he..." Torram began. Mortimer, clearly understanding at least part of what he was saying, lifted his head to look directly at the boy. Torram cleared his throat, quickly finishing his sentence. "Well, let's just say he doesn't much care for it. Plus Birch said something about his pelvis shape or something, I really have no idea." Torram waved it away.

Satisfied that he wasn't about to be teased, Morty turned his attention back to the other two; this time his focus was on Miriam, who he seemed to think smelled rather nice. He nosed her affectionately. Torram flushed again, grateful that his skin tone tended to hide at least some of the blush, at Miriam's curtsey. Back home, it would have been... expected, but here... Here he was just Torram, the woodworker's apprentice. Nothing fancy, and he kind of liked it that way.

"Right," Torram said, relaxing with another relieved smile and a nod at Tristan's quick save. Min, who had thus far spent her time outside, winged in to drop on her bonded's shoulder. She gave the other two a stern looking over, her already too-big eyes widening a bit at the sight of her boy conversing with the prince. The prince. And... whoever the girl was, though Min didn't care much about that part.

"Nah, nothing much going on for me," Tor said with a shrug. Min leaned over, about to nip his ear for speaking so casually to royalty. "Morty's pretty distracting, I think. Min will help too. Right, Min?"

The bird clicked her beak and rustled her feathers disapprovingly, but didn't disagree either.
