So what if she's encroaching on another's territory? It doesn't matter much to her. She is a wanderer - she goes where she wants, when she wants, she'll be damned if she lets some stupid invisible lines stop her. She snorts as she comes ashore on a new Island, and the instant she steps hoof there, she knows this is where she wants to be. This is where she belongs. The rolling dunes that disappear into the horizon remind her so much of home. She can feel the tears prick at her eyes, but she blinks them away and pushes forward. The sand feels so familiar beneath her hooves. She takes a deep breath as she wanders further in, and the smell is purely home. Dry air and sand and something faint, perhaps the distant promise of rain.

Oh, how wonderful this is. For the first time since her arrival, Rhaenyra cracks a genuine smile, throwing her head into the air and bucking like a wild filly. She lets out a delighted squeal, feeling happier than she has in a long, long time. She doesn't stop to think that there might be another lurking around here, and that they might not be too pleased with her presence, but she even if she did, she wouldn't care. She is happy, and she is free, and that's all that matters.

She stops bucking, her sides heaving and nostrils flaring and eyes gleaming with delight. She lets out another shrill whinny, picking up a quick, graceful trot further towards the center of the territory. She pulls herself up a particularly large dune, and the sight before her steals the very breath from her lungs. The dunes roll and roll and roll into the horizon, neverending, and she feels an overwhelming sense of melancholy and nostalgia. Oh, how she wished to be home. But she couldn't, and this was the closest thing to home, so it would have to do for now.
