The pale stallion could not have been happier once he noticed that his legs had stopped shaking so much. He would be able to move around easier and he hoped that the dizziness he had been feeling earlier would be solved by the grass he was still eating. Perhaps he would be able to run if someone attacked him. A sudden voice broke Verdin away from his thoughts, and he jerked his head up in surprise. He had been foolish enough to not keep a look-out and, especially in his current condition, it would be enough of a mistake that would get him killed. Luckily it was just a young yearling, who seemed curious enough to approach him.

The stallion swallowed his mouthful and lifted his head to a more comfortable position. His ear pricked as he considered what he would tell the yearling, but finally he decided that she was probably too young to be dangerous to him. "My name is Verdin," he said, voice rough from the salt water. "And yes, I did just arrive." His lie proved that he knew how much of an idiot he was and that he didn't want to share his shame to anyone else. His secret would be kept by himself and anyone else who had noticed him. Hopefully that number was not large.

Verdin shifted his weight a bit, awkward and not sure what else to say. His sister was really the only younger horse he had ever talked with, and some yearlings from other herds when his father was still alive. Still, it was different then since he was a yearling himself. Offering a small smile, the stallion spoke up. "Would you mind telling me where I am?" The pale stallion shifted his weight once again and glanced longingly at the grass. He doubted he would get to have anymore now that someone had found him, so he hoped that what he had managed to consume would last him until be was welcomed or able to swim back to the main island.
