Please Don't Leave Meopen

Silent people have the loudest minds

Antsy, the one word I was the definition of at the moment. Oh, how my muscles twitched for a run, but if I ran. If I ran then the necessary weight I need for winter could be compromised. Not by one run, right? My hooves pittered on the ground in slight hesitation. No, don't waste your energy. I love winter, but also hate you in so many ways! Snorting in irritation I went back to lipping about. The pronounced sound of my teeth grinding on vegetation breaking through the quiet of my skull. Looking up again I flicked my tail across my ankles before shaking my head.

Just. One. Run. The stupid words tempted my legs to go forth with the jutting forward motion, but I kept them locked in place. So, so many reasons could contribute to this uneasiness and this feeling of not wanting to stay still. Stomping hoof heavily into the ground I decided, just freakin do it. With little more thought on it my legs bolted me forward. Passing the trees, crushing dead twigs under my heavy strides, and the sound of my breath filed my ears.

I ran. Ran to the beachy shore, where a cold front hit my warm skin. Didn't think I'd miss being childish this much. My breaths became more forced the farther I went, but I didn't stop. I wanted this antsy feeling to leave. Go away and not return for a long while. Finally, when my lungs and legs could not go with the pace any longer, only then did I stop. Nostrils flaring as they took in the cool air that smelt of salt. Letting out a high pitched nicker I swung my head about thrashing before my gaze settled on the waves.

Barrel still heaving, wind blowing through my locks, all my eyes focused on were those waves. Things had finally settled, but this feeling kept saying more was to come. Another storm was to hit and it wouldn't have mercy. Probably just me. But Caesisus said she had an uneasy feeling too. My chocolate gaze just stared a little longer before my head swung to look upon the sand grains. Where I just walked along the water line for as long as the ocean would allow.
