Silent people have the loudest minds
The words of the pale woman sent a smile on my lips. Reminding me of something my mother once told me and I was going to repeat it to Cae. If it's gone by as fast as you think it has, that means that you've found happiness. A blissful thing that feels like the wind. A hopeful dream, no, I believe it could be achieved, but many things would have to happen for this peace to occur. Giving a snort followed by laughter I went to gently nudge her shoulder. We have our herd and that's what counts.
Full of energy excitement embeds itself in both of us, the atmosphere seeming to lift like clouds. Bobbing my head in agreement my voice remains lighthearted. Yes! We could be accomplices in playing with the foals. A laugh again escapes my lips as I imagined such things. Two grown mares frolicking silly with young foals. Oh, that would be a sight to be held. However, Cae's next question sent a sharp pain in my chest.
Out of reflex my ears flew back to my head, but I quickly pushed them up. Gazing to the ground I quietly spoke, but it was cracked. Ya, but I'm not her mother anymore. No matter what Gandy says, but I've accepted it. Lifting my head up a look of pain dwelled in my dark gaze. It's a long story. One that I should probably tell Lyden, but can't.
