The unanimous opinion is that this cat is a large bobcat. Tail is too short to be a cougar, and there are visible classic white spots on the back of the ears. The scat pictures submitted are also too small to be a cougar. That being said, this is a decent sized bobcat. And bobcat habitat is also a good indicator of cougar habitat. So keep the eyes open!!
