FOR ALL THE THINGS I'VE DONE

”who’s that?” his daughters voice broke through the quiet peace they had fallen into while grazing idly together in the early morning. Visiting with Meradith brightened up Lyden considerably with everything that had been going on. Before his prudent and white spotted girl came home from the peak he had been visiting with Jouk. ”she’s a new arrival here, dickerie is her name” there is a pause as his bright eyes watched the young girl move in their direction ” Braylen and I found them in the meadows when summer first came, hickerie and dock. They are all new here to the islands and offered them a place to call home” Merdadith listened to her father’s words as she stood watching the girl who probably had no idea she was being watched. ”she’s not much older than moonshine and I” turning her head to glance back at her pale father Meradith smirks ”aren’t you a little old for girls who are young enough to be your daughters?”.

A deep hard chuckle erupted from her vocal cords causing her chest and neck to shake. Lyden felt completely unamused of course and moved to stand alongside his free spirited little girl ”I’ll have you know little lady that hickerie is Braylens. Dickerie and dock are just here until they figure out what they want to go from here” hearing his own voice speak the words out loud made him frown. Lyden would allow any of his girls or daughters to go wherever they pleased if they were ever to find somewhere else they preferred, however he had taken quite a liking to dickerie and hoped that perhaps she’d choose to stay with him. ”butttt you want dickerie to stay here with you” reading her father’s mind Meradith laughs again. It felt pretty awesome to actually tease her dad after growing up in the forest with her mother and sister She felt as though she had missed out on a very important part of her childhood and now that she is here with him, meradith had absolutely no intention of leaving.

”go charm her then pops!” moving to bump her nose with his Meradith nodded to her dad before heading in the opposite way. Lyden figured she’d go see if she wouldn’t catch up with some of the other herd members of the forest or perhaps even some of her siblings. The thought of Meradith being here in the forest finally brought great joy to our blue eyed pale brute along with heartache. Dickerie closing the distance between them brought Lyden out of his thoughts as he moved in her direction with a warm lopsided grin ”dickerie! I was beginning to think you ran out on me” a hint of laughter could be heard in his voice as his nose met with hers
