. CHARITABLE ADVERTISING on Web Site
There are many worthwhile charitable causes in existence, but we can only accept sponsorship or fundraising efforts on Fusilier Association websites, that specifically support approved Fusilier charities.
This essentially means that it is acceptable to use these pages to seek sponsorship for The Fusiliers Aid Society (which includes Fallen Fusiliers), and The Fusilier Memorial fund only.
We now have our own dedicated justgiving site (http://www.justgiving.com/fusiliersaidsociety), which you can use to help raise money for your cause. If you let RHQ (Asst Regt Sec) know the specific cause you are raising money for, it will be directed to the correct fund.
Messages soliciting sponsorship for causes or charities other than the Fusilier ones mentioned above should not be placed on the message board and may be removed by the Webmaster.

MEMORIAL SERVICE – MAJOR GENERAL DARE WILSON CBE MC DL MA FRGS IP: 184.108.40.206 Posted on 3/9/2014 at 14:55:02 by Dennis Laverick Webmaster
26 SEPTEMBER 2014
A memorial service for Major General Dare Wilson will be held at 1430 hours, Friday 26 September 2014 at St George’s Church, Morebath, Devon. The post code to use is EX16 9AL which will take you to the road the Church is located on. The village is fairly isolated and the nearest railway station is some 20 miles distant. All Fusiliers who knew General Dare are welcome to attend.
General Dare made it known through his wife, Sarah, that those who are unable to make the long journey to the West Country should ‘raise a glass’ and if possible give a donation to a military charity instead. Indeed he expressed a wish that nobody should be inconvenienced which is typical of him and will raise a smile among those who knew him well.
General Dare was a remarkable man with a list of impressive achievements which would make many of us feel inadequate. The Regiment will certainly ‘raise a glass’ to this great soldier and very decent man; he will be missed.
