IF Magnus could hear Pliar’s thoughts on the matter, it would further cement his belief that she was one of the smartest horses he knew. It seemed whatever the markings pointed to should be shared amongst many – why find something important but only keep it to yourself? - so it followed that it should take a team to decipher and act upon the knowledge they gained. He wondered who had left such markings though the why remained at the forefront of his thoughts.

THE spotted boy’s ears swivelled toward her as she spoke and he bobbed his head to her question, not answering yet as he would have cut her off. A grin flashed over his lips at her remark and he chuckled. ”I guess I must have, I didn’t even need to ask him; he just offered.” Soljor’s offer had come as a great surprise to Magnus but he was, and still is, hugely grateful for the opportunity. In a lot of ways, he looked up to the tobiano stallion and hoped to prove his worth as his second. There was a lot of things about running a herd that Magnus did not understand but he was learning more with each passing day.
