In some ways Skylar knew that Lyden would not talk nicely about her to his herd. He was too easily offened by things he did not understand and thus those feelings would travel to the women who lived under his reign. Jormungandr's words proved as much and a disappointed sigh couldn't help but escape the roan's lips. Skylar had hoped that maybe it hadn't really happened that way, that maybe he had truly understood and that would refer to the herd. But it had obviously been futile to hope such things and a complete waste of her time.


Skylar had not said anything, only given Jörmungandr a breif nod before making sure the girls were ready to keep going. Moving to walk at the taller mare's side, Skylar had been taking in the scenery that she had not laid eyes on in such a very long time when Jörmungandr's voice broke into her thoughts. Turning her eyes to the mare she gave a pause before answering, making sure her words were the correct ones in such a crucial moment.


"I was not eager to abandon the herd as I'm sure you think." Skylar replied evenly. "I had lived in the Peak before I met Lyden and got pregnant with out first child. Thinking soully of the child because in truth I did not know Lyden, I followed him to Atlantis and from there we moved here. All the while I ached for my real home which is what sent me to the Peak when I was pregnant with the twins. I wasn't even showing yet but I grew much faster than my previous pregnancies so it was all just a surprise." Skylar passed a glance to Jörmungandr once again. "I was not needed here.... I knew that before I went to the Peak the first time. So when my sisters made the effort to bring me back home I knew they would need me more than this herd."
